Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill explains how a burning desire for wealth can be crystalized into reality. But for it to happen, one must transcend his current level of thinking. It’s needless to say that one is differentiated from another only by his level of reasoning. If I hadn’t conceived the right thoughts, this blog wouldn’t have existed today.
I have summarized five main principles and concepts that benefited me the most. There are thirteen steps to achieves riches, but I took the top 5 that are most applicable to me.
The first principle that I got from this book is the desire. If you want to get rich, you got to have a burning desire in your heart. And it will lead to the second principle which is auto-suggestion. This means that in whoever environment you are, you are subconscious mind will start picking stuff. So you need to put yourself in an environment of growth and success. You know you are the average of the five people you spent your time with. So try to be in an environment with people that are where you want to be, or are heading where you want to go. He also says that you need to write 5 sentences that define your purpose in life, and you need to read it aloud everyday because it will go to your subconscious mind. Everyday it will become stronger and stronger, and your subconscious mind will start picking up on it, and that will lead you to your goals.
The third principle is basically create your Master Mind. Napoleon said that people are more stronger when they put their thoughts together. So let’s say you have one idea, and you are around someone also who has one idea that will develop several ideas. The fourth principle is Specialized knowledge. Napoleon says that “Knowledge has no value except that which can be gained from its application” So you must have knowledge to create profit. In the same way that is why college degree goes so down in value. Anybody can have a college degree, but you need to know how to use it.
The fifth principle that I got from this book is Persistence, and I found this one extremely helpful in my situation. For instance this blog has been out for a couple of months, and this is my 30 articles. I am having a couple of views, and I am planning to do at least 5 high quality articles a week, and add values to other people’s life.
This book is very amazing, and like I said it has 30 principles. If you already read it or planning to buy it, share the principles that you find helpful for you in comment.
